- WHO ARE WE?
"Daughters of St. Paul" has "St. Paul bookcenter" at 10 different cities: Sendai, Tokyo (2) Nagoya, Sonoda (Amagasaki), Kobe, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Fukuoka and Nagasaki. They are handling books that can be useful to the life of faith and missionary life, as well as CDs, DVDs, liturgical and religious objects and cards, etc. Also the St. Paul bookcenter are located inside a church territory or very close to the church, so that they can also be a guide for those who come to church for the first time.
From the beginning the Sisters working for those bookstores have been called "Librerista". A bookstore is like a pulpit from where the word of God is spread, so it had the role of emitting the light. It is not just a place to sell books and religious objects, but we cherish the encounter with all those who come in, to meet them and to talk with them. (In Italian a bookstore is called libreria and the people working in there are called librerista)
This time, the theme of the training session was the management of the bookstore by computer. They were all a bit tired in the evening, because they studied very hard."
