First Profession of vow of Sr. Rumiko Kondo (2007.06.29)

June 29, after 2 years of Noviciate, there was the ceremony of the First Profession of Vow of Sr. Rumiko Kondo. It was celebrated by Father Futsuki of the Society of St. Paul. Eight Fathers from the Society of St. Paul, Father Kanbayashi of the Osaka diocese and a Dominican Father from Shikoku where Sr. Kondo was born, also co-celebrated.

During the homily Fr. Futsuki, said amicably " You look different with your veil on " . And he told us about the life Sr. Kondo is going to start.

From now on, leaving everything into God's hand, her life will be for God and the Church. " Go out and bear fruit, and that fruit will remain" this is our life. So that what we have learnt and experienced will never be wasted and that we can always go forward.

After the ceremony, Sr. Kondo said " May God use me the way He wishes",and "Please continue to help me in many different ways".

At the celebration gathering, after the introduction, she received gifts of songs by the Sisters of The Pie discepole Divin Maestro and the priests of the Society of St. Paul. People around her told her " You look quite dignified in your new habit, it looks like you have always warn it !" She is always calm but she, herself says that she is so tense and her heart is beating very fast.

"Pierre Marie" was given to her as religious name. We all wish you to deepen your holy and offering way, without forgetting the tension and the joy of the day of your profession.
