- WHO ARE WE?
Following the cannon law, the Catholic monastic order holds the General Chapter in every few years. From 20th of August, the General Chapter of Daughter of St.Paul commenced in Ariccia, Rome. This General Chapter holds once in 6 years.
The main purpose of this General Chapter is to deepen the charisma of our monastic order and challenge to fit it into the society by focused on guideline of the church, current social and cultural situation of the world and development of social communication technique. Also new chancellor and a senior advisor will be elected for the next 6 years.
The members of the General Chapter are the chancellor and senior advisors, who are in Rome, in charge of the monastic orders in all over the world, people in charge of each areas and countries, and elected nuns. There are 71 people in total.
On 20th of August, the General Chapter commenced with opening mass held in the chapel of Queen of apostle. The first 6 days were a meditation period, to be ready for the General Chapter and to purify. Afterward, it starts look back previous 6 years and then looking for the aims and directions for next 6 years. To end the General Chapter, an election of new superior-General and a senior General Chancellor will be held.

In the General Chapter, every sister in whole world is also participating through their prayer. Also progress of the General Chapter is informed to all churches in all over the world, through Internet and email.
The General Chapter will be continued for one month, until 20th of September, please pray for them.
